Welcome to Cubs!

The Cub section is open to girls and boys aged 8 – 10½. Our Cub Pack in Edgware is temporarily closed as we don’t have enough adults to run the meetings. If you or an adult you know would be up for volunteering one evening a week to help us re-open, we would love to hear from you! Previous experience at Scouts and camping skills are not required!

About Cubs

Cubs meet during term times for one evening a week, usually for 1.5 hours. As we’re recruiting a new team of Cub leaders, you as a team can choose the day and time that best suits you to run Cubs. Weekly meetings consist of games and activities, ranging from cooking and crafts, to team building and treasure hunts. Cubs also take part in a couple of events throughout the year, such as a weekend camp or a water sports day. These are often run with our other leaders, so don’t worry if you can’t commit the time for these extras.

About volunteering

As a team you can share out the planning. One week you might be running a game, the next you might be leading one of the badge activities. No experience? No problem. Training, support and cups of tea are provided every step of the way as we’ll help transition you into running Cubs. It’s a fun and rewarding way to brighten up your weekly routine. Plus, it’s flexible – you can choose how much time you commit.

If you’re not looking to volunteer, you can sign your child up to the waiting list here. If we find the adults, and there is space available for your child, we will be in touch.
