Our Group has been a big part of Edgware’s local area for over 95 years, and as Scouts we understand the importance of community. This page is our way of saying thank you to those who have generously donated, collaborated with us on projects, or supported us in other ways. Their contributions help us continue providing new opportunities, adventures and life skills for our Scouts. We’re proud to work together to make a difference!
If your organisation would like to collaborate with us, please get in touch! We’re always looking for engaging ways to cover The Scouts badge programme, as well as other opportunities for our young people to visit new places and learn about communities.
The Edgy Collective
In 2023 the London Festival of Architecture came to Edgware. After the event, we worked with local architects The Edgy Collective to re-home the timber portal. It now stands proudly as the archway entrance to our garden.
Families North London
Thank you to Amanda and the magazine team for featuring us on your contents page. The aim is to promote Scouting to local families who may not have heard of us, and hopefully recruit a few more adults so that we can re-open our Cub Pack in 2025.
Colindale Food Bank
In 2022 our Cubs teamed up with Colindale food bank for our community project. Pat and Ken visited us to teach the Cubs all about food banks, before we set about collecting local food donations and designing posters to promote the food bank.
St. Margaret’s Church
Our connections with St. Margaret’s go back to our formation in 1929. Although we’re no longer attached, in recent years we have worked together on numerous occasions. In 2019 our Cubs collaborated with them to plant lavender along the church wall, and in 2020 the parish hosted our Scouts for bell ringing. We look forward to visiting again soon!
EHRS Synagogue
On numerous occasions our Cubs and Scouts have visited Edgware & Hendon Reform Synagogue. The team have kindly shown us around for the evening and run an engaging programme to learn about Judaism. This is part of our World Faiths badge, which involves young people learning about different faiths.
